Lost in the Fast Pace

This is not exactly the kind of stuff I wanted to post, but right now its all I got...

(this is more of me venting so really don't have to read it)

I've always lived a pretty busy life. Honestly, I wouldn't know what to do with free time. I like having something to do. Something to look forward to. There's too much going on in the world to just sit around and watch it go by. You got to live each day to the fullest.

So what happens when you get to that point where you just can't do it anymore. As much as I regret using the phrase "burnt out" (people warned me about it) I have to. Today was one of those days. I feel absolutley and completley burnt out. I love life, I love people, I really do - but today is one of those days you would never know it. I have so many things to do, so much work to make up, and it all keeps coming. I would want nothing more than to just have a single day of relaxation. Unfortuanuatly, thats never going to happen because all I have in the back of my head are the things I still have to do and the situations I'm in. I can't even sleep well thinking about it.

Aside from just being tired and worn out, I feel lost. I keep praying that God will lead me where I need to go...but I still have no idea where that is. I know that He answers in His own time, but I'm starting to lose hope. I love God with all my heart and I know he knows whats best for me...I just wish He would tell me. Selfish I know. Afterall faith is believing in what you do not know. I'm just afraid I'm gonna screw things up. I'm afraid I'm going to be quick (not intentioanally) to pursue one thing, missing out on where I'm suppose to be.

Confused? I am.

What do I do?

Well, I went to that website you gave me a while back to find a spiffy encouraging quote, but I wasn't able to find one that said what I wanted to, so I figured I'd come on here and type something semi-entertaining and encouraging. I'm sorry you had a bad day and I hope it gets much gooder. Annie used to sing, "The sun will come out tomorrow!" I guess technically she still sings it, but you get my point. lol. The one thing I do admire about it you is the fact that you do live to the fullest and you balance out so much. I feel put to shame because there is no way I could ever do it! God has a plan for you and He's going to use you in some awesome ways. I know how you feel about all that because I feel lost quite a bit, but God will work it out. Keep your chin up!
I hope you have a much gooder day tomorrow and I'm lookin forward to watching you kick butt out on the soccer field tonight! :-D Sorry if this post didnt make sense. lol

Kris, you are one of the most encouraging people I know... unfortunately the "encouragers" often get overlooked when they're feeling down or overwhelmed. So here goes...

I'm not going to tell you that College gets easier as you go along, 'cause I've been there, and honestly, it doesn't. However, what does happen is that you learn how to adapt much better as time goes by. You'll have more responsibilities later, but you'll be much more efficient in managing them. It just comes with experience. Also, you'll learn when to just say "No". Its easy to want to get involved your freshman year and do everything you can, but there comes a point when you have to look out for yourself, and your health.

As far as your direction in life, I've told you before that I know God has big things planned for you. Dont worry, as long as you love him, and put yourself close to him, he wont let you mess things up. He'll show you the choices you need to make, the directions you need to go, and they'll be as plain as day. :)

I hope this helps, and if it doesn't just think about sunshine, and fresh air... Cold sweet tea on a hot day... Friends and Family.. grass between your toes... and the fact that our Daddy in heaven lets us have all that stuff.. :)

Remember, I'm always here for you to lean on. ;)

thanks for the comment, I'm looking forward to coming back and it will be good to see you as well. Don't have a complex though... I'm sure going a couple more days without picking on somebody will do good things for your people skills. ;-)

I was just surfin around and I found your blog. I read your last post and, even though I don't really talk to you much, I thought you could use some encouragement. Just remember that it all will pass in the end. Any troubles that begin have an end. The only thing that will never end is the relationship with God. Take comfort in that. And keep following his lead. I know He is somewhat vague at times in revealing to you his will for you, but remeber that his will for you is very specific, and very promising. I hope this helps you. God bless.
